The independence of each source allows for less autonomy from a battery bank since it is extremely rare in any location when there is more than one or two days of neither sun nor wind. When you combine the independent PV sources, and the ever present existence of wind, to one degree or another on every corner of the planet continuously, you have a very reliable energy source. The Personal Power Plant was designed with that in mind. Developed by a Divine inspiration to provide electricity needs for families and communities anywhere on the planet. The multiple sources on a single platform allow the PPP to even be productive in an urban environment. Why choose an alternative energy source like the Personal Power Plant: More power per square foot of area. Most PV ground or roof mounted arrays generate 12 to 15 watts per sq. ft. depending on the efficiency of the modules and inverter. The Personal Power Plant takes up about 150 sq. ft. of area. Our standard 4.4kw three source Power Plant outputs about 29 watts per sq. ft. of area. Our unit with a 4kw wind turbine, a 6.4kw system can output about 42 watts per sq. ft.. The average 235W PV module measures about 39" x 69", roughly 18 to 19 sq. ft.. At that size, to fill 150 sq. ft. it takes about 8 modules, less than 1900 watts. A 4.4kw PV array using the average 235W module will take up about 342 sq. ft. of area. Our product generates more than twice the power in 150 sq. ft. space than a standard PV array. No PV system can compete with our product in terms of power output (watts) related to space (sq. ft.) No wind system can compete with us related to area, output, and cost. A 5kw or 10kw wind system may take less ground area, but the cost of the turbine, tower, concrete, and installation is tens of thousands of dollars more than our system. No other manufacturer has combined so much power in such a small area, and at such an affordable price. The diversity and redundancy of the systems on a PPPenables the owner to reap the benefits of not only PV output on a cloudy day with the amorphous panels, but also output at night while the wind is blowing. No longer do owners of renewable energy systems need to fear an oncoming storm, worrying about not having power without the sun for a few days, or worry of calm days, and not enough wind to power the turbine. In many areas, an approaching storm may dampen PV output, but the accompanying wind will keep the PPP humming.
