- About Us : Shinta Group which started its jShinta Groupney in late 1960's on a humble note as a textile trading company has since come a long way. Today it is one of the leading textile groups in Indonesia encompassing in its fold a well diversified portfolio covering manufacturing, banking, insurance, foreign exchange, international trading and contract engineering sectors. The manufacturing operations of the Group comprise vertically integrated production facilities of synthetic chips, fiber, yarn, fabric and garments besides shoes. The Group's manufacturing operations began in 1971 with the construction of a warp-knitting mill. Based on the success of the knitting mill and its increasing market. Shinta Group expanded further in 1974 with the addition of a circular knitting mill and a textile-processing house with dyeing, finishing and transfer printing capabilities. The Group entered into the synthetic yarn industry with the setting up of a yarn texturizing plant in 1976. Two years later SHINTA pioneered the manufacture of polyester POY at production speeds comparable with Japanese manufacturers. The yarn and fiber division was vertically integrated in 1986 with the construction of a polycondensation unit. The late 80's and early 90's were the major expansion years with the Group setting up a spinning mill, a nylon filament yarn plant and a weaving, dyeing, finishing & printing mill. In 1989 two joint ventures were established with the Daewoo Group of South Korea for the manufacture of knitted garments and sports & work shoes.
