- About Us : Triticum Co d.o.o. started its activity with an agricultural trading company, named Agrotuzi in the year 1990, selling mostly seeds and fertilizers. After several years the company was enlarged with the recycling field, sale stores, production, and transportation of goods and services, the company was renamed to Triticum Co. Triticum Co is composed of multiple business units from which main activities are: Agriculture, Medicinal-Aromatic Herbs and Essential Oils. Triticum is located in the capital city of Montenegro, in Podgorica, and to the northwest of Lake Skadar. Triticum started collecting herbs in the mid90s and supplied Yugoslavian factories at the time such as “Droga Kolinska”, “Bar Bilje”, “Risan Bilje”, and “Pliva Trogir”. With more than 20 years’ experience, we are expertise in the collect, processing, development and research in Aromatic-Medicinal Herbs and Natural Essential Oils. This capability makes us one of the market leaders in the herbs export, especially in Sage. The Company has enlarged its activity gathering medical plants from all over Montenegro. The main direction of the company’s activity is the export of Herbs into the U.S.A. and other countries of Europe. The Company is exporting about 300 Tons of Sage yearly, but it is also exporting a wide range of other herbs, such as Savory, Thyme, Helichrsum, Bay Leaves, Oregano, Rosemary, Juniper berries, Lavender, etc. Around 70% of the herbs are collected in the area of Podgorica and the rest is collected in the coast area of Montenegro. Herbs like Salvia Officinalis and Satureja Montana are internationally recognized as a premium quality in Montenegro. Our essential oils are obtained by Steam distillation from the flowering plants of different raw herbs. All of the herbs are wildly grown, therefore the essential oils are 100% pure and natural. Montenegrin nature, ecology, rock, sun, micro-climate and local plants have challenged us to learn and perfect our knowledge. Our work and sincere dedication to nature has been recognized by our partners from the US and Europe where we export all we produce. Our tendency toward perfection, high composition quality, natural intensity and authentic flavor of our organic essential oils was recognized and appreciated by our foreign partners.
