  Product Description AISI O1 Chemical Composition: C Mn Si Cr W P S 0.85-1.0 1.0-1.4 0.1-0.5 0.4-0.7 0.4-0.6 max 0.030 max 0.030 Product Feature O1 Tool Steel Mechanical Properties: O1 tool steel is a low alloy cold work tool steel that must be oil-quenched in heat treatment. O1 contains small amounts of manganese, tungsten, and chromium, giving O1 adequate toughness for normal tool & die uses. O1 has deep hardening properties with fine grain structure with unusual toughness. O1 has good response to heat treatment with small dimensional changes. Sizes over approximately 2 inches thick or round may exhibit a lower hardness in the interior. O1 tool steel is available in standard de-carb free rounds, flats and squares, as well as the largest size selection in ground flat stock and drill rod of all the tool steel grades.
