Today it is among the largest companies in the domain of steel and iron products and in the greek stock market since 1990. The main activity of the company has been the trading of steel, metals-sheets, iron goods, metals and relevant types of products while furthermore, since 1985, it also activated in the sector of processing and manufactoring of steel and iron products. It organized and established in the greek market the first "steel service center" where ready products are offered in desirable dimensions at order. The needs of market in special steels and steels of manufactures as A. KALPINIS - N. SIMOS S.A.ll as in stainless products are served by the brother company "steel center S. A. ". In cllaboration with british steel - hoogovens was recommended company "corus kalpinis simos S. A. " with main object of activity the manufacturing of complex thermo-isulating polyurethane shields for the constructional market, that have wide application in covering and shielding buildings as well as in manufacturing of cooling booths. Member of group "a. Kalpinis - n. Simos S. A. " constitutes also "synpro S. A. ", which is activated in the production of welded beams in a wide range of dimensions, using submerged arc welding (saw) procedure. Welded beams are recommended for buildings of large span for industrial and athletic installations, bridges, refineries, steelworks, ship yards etc. They present an advantage against the classic hot-rolled beams, as they are provided in varius dimensions and variety of profiles, according to special constructional requirements and offer high specifications, lower total weight and therefore economy of buildings costs. The company owns a group of offices and deposits, as well as industrial installations in skaramangas and aspropyrgos, attica, organized with modern automated equipment, according to international models. It also allocates a big network of representatives and technicians tha allow for maintaining the high quality of customer service and rhe direct delivery of products. Processing and treatment: The company makes new investments continuously and rapidly extends itself in the sector of processing and treatment of steel and iron products, covering a wide spectrum of constructional needs. The production of pipes with seam of welding in a wide range of round, square and rectangular cross-sections takes place in the company installations in skaramangas. It uses steel strips, produced from coils that are imported and slit in the corresponding lines. The coils slitting take place in the skaramangas installations as well as in those in aspropyrgos. In the latter, the company also accommodates cut-to-lemgthlines for the production of metal sheet in standardized dimensions. Very important part of the company's production in aspropyrgos, constitutes corrugated sheets in sinus, trapezodial and roof tilr for side and roof covering in dimensions tha conform to the customers requirements. In the same category belong the special trapezodial sheets "symdeck" with application in collaborative structures, as well as the cold-rolled sections (types: E (sigma), c, z, zplus). Finally, the company has two sandblast and painting lines for a wide range of metal beams and plates in aspropyrgos, as weel as equipment for saw and flame cutting.
