- About Us : 1922 Sanitas was founded in 1922 by Mr. Rosenerg, Mr. E.Taubman and Mr. M.Judasin as a chemical pharmaceutical laboratory. The first production AB "Sanitas"re cosmetic products. 1930 Later enterprise had expanded and had began to produce medicines. In 1930 Sanitas produced patent medicines in 100 names. 1940 Soviet Union occupies Lithuania and Sanitas was nationalized. 1941 Sanitas mergered with company Germapo to one enterprice Chemical-pharmaceutical manufactory n.1. 1944 The company restored the name Sanitas. 1967 A modern ampoules shop was built in accordance with existing regulations. Productions shops and subdivisions were reconstructed and enlarged. 1980 Chemical - pharmaceutical factory Sanitas is transferred from Health Care Ministry of Lithuania's supervision to Moscow's Health Ministry supervision. 1990 The Lithuanian Republic regains its independence. Chemical - pharmaceutical factory Sanitas passes back into jurisdiction of the Lithuanian Republic. 1994 Company was privatised and transformation into a joint-stock company. 1996 The tablets and capsules department was reconstructed and new, modern ampoules production line was arranged. 2000 Sanitas Quality Management system was certified by ISO 9002. 2004 Sanitas Quality Managenent system was certified by LST EN ISO 9001:2001. Manufacturing of injection preparations, manufacturing of hard capsules and packing of capsules and tablets, acquired the Certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
