- About Us : Bamboo Bio Composites Sdn Bhd was incorporated on the 29th of October 2004, which focuses on the research & development, production, marketing and distribution of bamboo lamella. Bamboo Bio Composites, a subsidiary of Maju Kastera Sdn Bhd has initiated research and development together with the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for 7 years to create varieties of bamboo usages, especially in producing lamella and engineered bamboo planks / panel board that can be used as a basis for production and construction materials, furniture components and high value added materials for other products.This integrated bamboo project is encBamboo Bio Composites Sdn Bhdaged by the Malaysian government and proactively started in 1996, in which the government stressed the need for the bamboo industry to expand as a whole and drastically, especially in the production of high value added products such as parquet and lamella. Our company wants to take advantage of the high concentration of wild bamboos in Malaysia. In the same time, we hope to create a positive impact towards the socio-economy of villagers and rural population in the development of an integrated processing center.Our mission is to pioneer and promote the development of bamboo industry in Malaysia and to help eradicate poverty in the interior areas of Malaysia. We intend to exploit the abundant bamboo resources in Malaysia and manufacture bamboo products to replace wood-based products such as lamella, floorboard, furniture, construction & building materials, veneers, fiberware etc. and in the near future, engage in the research and development of other bamboo-related products such as food and health products.We are also cooperating with Malaysian government authorities to develop bamboo forest management policies, plantation and reforestation efforts. Thus far, we have received support from the Prime Minister himself, through the Prime Minister Department to develop the bamboo industry in Malaysia.
