BioFactors are available in Liquid Form, a Freeze Dried Powder, or in Liposomes. Yeast Beta1, 3/1, 6-D-Glucan is a polysaccharide that consists of specifically arranged glucose molecules. This ingredient activated macrophage cells, the benefits of which include skin rejuvenation, prevention and treatment of UV-related skin damage, and wound healing. BioFactors enhance the appearance of the skin by delivering the essential components we have extracted from the yeast cell nucleus to the epidermis. Through deep penetration of naturally derived molecules into the skin, the lower layers of cells are supplied with the breathe of new life. The nutrients in BioFactors work together to create this respiratory action which explains why Live Yeast Cell Derivative is also know as Skin Respiratory Factor and Tissue Respiratory Factor. We measure this mode of action using an oxygen electrode and cultured human fibroblasts. Along with their respiratory action, the substances in LYCD and BioFactors have also been shown to stimulate oxygen consumption by skin cells, cause cellular proliferation and collagen synthesis.
