- About Us : Bize Maarifa Company Ltd with a share holding worth Tshs 100 mil fully paid was established on 8th May 2008 to take over all assets of Maarifa farm situated at Kisaki Morogoro South; a 263 acres farm which was owned by Lucian Maarifa as a sole proprietor. The acquisition by BMCO Ltd was free of charge since Bize Maarifa Co Ltd share holders BIZE MAARIFA COMPANY LTDre all Mr Maarifa�s family members. Hitherto from 1997 to 2000 Maarifa Farms was growing varied crops at one time the farm had 165, 000 Moringa Oloifera trees ( the only indigenous Moringa commercial farmer in TZ by then ). In 2000 about 70 acres of this farm was planted with teak. By the time the farm was acquired in May 2008 and per valuation done in October 2007) the teak tree population was 30, 317 trees, Mvule was 63 trees which together with other farm assets like Farm land and Farm house added up to make a total farm market value of Tsh 1, 843, 343, 000. The company�s key personnel include: The Company Managing Director, Farm Manager, Forester and an Accountant. With the exception of few government teak plantations in Turiani, Muheza, Kilwa, Njombe the only private teak big farmer Kilombero Valley Teak Company in Ifakara there are no other sizable teak tree farmers in the country. The worldwide teak demand is unquenchable especially after the ban on harvesting naturally grown teak timber in the Far East. Tanzania teak is mainly for export. The company has embarked on an expansion program targeting planting 107, 000 of teak trees by February 2010.
