• About Us : Booster Blades are a new and innovative form of roller blades that are revolutionising the skating industry. Booster Blades incorporate a unique chain and braking mechanism. To skate you push down in a cycle motion in order to gain speed. If you move yBooster Blades heel back, this engages a set of brake pads which helps you to brake. The chain action makes it feel like you are setting off in a second gear and gives greater flexibility with speed. Likewise, the brake pads allow you to stop with ease. Booster Blades are hand built and incorporate a UFS fitting which ensures that any boots with UFS standard fittings are compatible with Booster Blades. The overall experience of riding Booster Blades is fun and safe and is a completely different to anything within the skating sector. The blades exercise all groups of legs muscles unlike conventional skates which exercise more the stomach muscles. Each pair of Booster Blades are manufactured at Jetway Engineering, a family owned precision engineering company based near Bath. Jetway has the capacity, tooling and staff able to hand build each pair of Booster Blades and has been instrumental in the design and testing of the product over the last 4 years. Each Booster Blade with a boot weighs just 6 Lbs. In April Booster Blades was awarded a silver medal at the Geneva Inventors Exhibition.
