- About Us : Bratsk Carpenter Mill was founded in 1996 as a Joint Stock Company. At that time in Irkutsk region Bratsk Carpenter Millre not any mills that could produce such huge range of wood products and especially with moisture content of 8%. The top products of the mill were doors and windows fully ready for installation. In 2003 year the mill was renewed with new equipment and some more new technological decisions put in process: - the own saw mill build, the saw capacity is 4000 m3 of logs per month or about 2500 m3 of lumber - an additional 6 dry kilns facilities were added, that increase the volume of KD lumber from 600 m3 up to 2500 m3 - to run the kilns and for utilization of half-timber out of saw mill the refuse boilers were purchased - for processing such volume of lumber new planners(Hydromat 23) and new finger joint line(Combipact) were purchased from Weinig AB Germany - the technological process was redone to non stop line, starting from sawing the lumber and getting ready products and the end Because of all of the above plus having high qualified employees and yang professional grope of managers the Bratsk Carpenter Mill have a very good prospective in the future. The potential of the mill gives the strong position on wood market in Irkutsk region and as well on international market as for Exporter of high grade products. For present moment the mill produce wide range of solid and glued FJ products as different types of floor/ceiling moldings, lining boards, door jams, windows, square blocks, edge glued panels and more. The main type of wood used at the process is Pine(Angarskiy Type Siberian Pine), with perfect physical and mechanical characteristics this pine is very easy to work with and gives good quality to the products.
