- About Us : Cave Hollow Equipment manufacture custom built textile machinery. We are based in dalton, ga, so all of our equipment is releated to carpet and rugs. We offer machines that produce knotted rug trim. I am the patent holder for this machine. I have sold these machines in Belgium as well as Egypt. I have invented a new type of loom that will weave any material that you might want to weave. Currently, I process my own "shag material", and I manufacture high end shag rugs. I use three different types of yarn for my shag material: 2. 65 / 2 wool, 2. 5 / 2 polyester, and 6 / 2 rayon. By using a variety of yarns, my rugs have depth, texture and character that cannot be matched with a tufting machine. My machines are far, far faster than a group of hand looms. I have woven sisal, sea grass, wool, cotton, rags. . . These rugs are reversible. The 3'x5' rug that I am now producing weighs 5 kilos; however, you can produce any weight that you need.
