About Us : In the past Contact Fabricators Inc. primary business was remanufacturing electrical components for railroads and OEM manufacturing. At the request of a customer, we developed a unique technique for compression, transfer, and preform injection molding of thermoset plastics. The molds are standard steel, heat treated and polished, but our system allows rapid response without waiting for a molding machine to become available. A single operator can run multiple stations, eliminating the usual problems of having to make multi-cavity molds for applications that can be supplied by a single cavity. Because operator time can be divided between molds, costs can be held down when making only one at a time. The methodology also allows rapid response, typically an hour from order to start of production. Our primary focus now is developing this business.
