- About Us : Authentic African Carvings (Pty) Ltd Reg No 99/4111 is an importer/exporter & Manufacturer of the finest hand crafted carved wooden African Crafts & house hold furniture from Southern Africa Diningroom suites, bar cabinets, glass cabinets & coffee tables, bedroom suites are available in the Range. Each piece is allocated a catalogued number and a brass plaque is attached to the furniture which dipict's the origin of the country and carvers. Each peice of furniture has been engraved with figure's of the 'Big Five'. Although Ethnic ccble to produce 23 pieces every third month the basic furniture engravings are each different and unique. We offer specialised engravings such as the 'Birds of prey' found in Africa etc. We are able to re-produce fruniture from a photograph, as long as sizes required are attached. Truly this furniture is unique and an example of the kind of craftmanship available in Africa. AAC also assists local carvers, and craftsman, through pilot projects such as the creation of a 'Hardwood Nurseries' and other art/craft workshop's. 5% of this years profit will percent of AAC's monthly be provided to a non profit organisations involved in the preservation of hardwood tree's in Africa'. Further to the manufacture of furniture we are able to provide a range of ethnic clothing, crafts and jewelery.
