• About Us : Fatoglu Family has been a shipowner for fFatoglu GIDA SAN. TIC. A.S. generation, started the business as a food wholesaler in Giresun in 1950. Fatoglu Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. was established in 1978 for wheat flour / wheat bran production and trade. Besides there is also the operation of our owned vessels as shipowners. Fatoglu Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. runs 2 milling plants in Turkey and 1 milling plant in Azerbaijan of which are continuing to process with full capacity. Daily capacities of Bulancak/Turkey, Luleburgaz/Turkey and Gandja/Azerbaijan factorieas are 700mt, 200mt and 300mt respectively. In high seasons daily production of the factories are increasing up to 2,000 mt per day with subcontracted plant(s). Almost half of our production is exported to Libya ,Albania, Eastern Africa and Far East by our trading company called Fatoglu International S.A , located in Switzerland. The balance is supplied to consumers in local market. Fatoglu Group is capable of supplying high quality wheat from different origins such as Black Sea, Kazakhstan, Australia, Canada, Argentina and U.S.A in the quantity of 500,000 -700,000.- tons per year to customers in domestic and international markets. Grain trading and orientation are main trade activities of Fatoglu group both in Turkey and especially in Black Sea and Mediterranean region by Fatoglu International S.A. The company is expanding its trading activities supported by regional offices in Kazakhstan ,Russia and in Romania where Fatoglu is shareholder of PTC silos in Agigea -Constanza in partnership with the leading French Group INVIVO. Fatoglu, considering sales figures from production basis, has been ranked as 239th,256th ,270th and 370th in 2001,2000,1999 and 1998 in the 500 Major Industrial Establishment Questionnaire done by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce among industrial companies. In food industry our ranking is among the first 50 companies and being the 1st in sub sector of wheat flour production. Fatoglu Group established a plant with capacity 150 mt/day as FATOGLU ISTEHSAL AZERBAYCAN LTD. BIRGE MUESSESESI in Azerbaijan in 1998. The capacity of the plant was increased to 300 mt/day by utilisation of the same sources in year 2000. The plant in Azerbaijan was insured against political risk by MIGA which is one of the establishment of World Bank. Fatoglu Istehsal is the 2nd biggest company in wheat flour sector in Azerbaijan. Fatoglu Group is the owner of the vessel M/V Aydin Fatoglu built in 1982 with 1472 DWT and recently constructed and exported a chemical tanker with 3500 DWT . Three steel silos was built in additional to the existing 15,000 mt storage capacity by our own financial capabilities in our plant area in Turkey, increasing total raw material storage capacity to 30.000 mt. FATSU MESRUBAT SANAYI VE TICARET A.S., a subsidiary of our group companies was established for spring water bottling and completed its investments by the end of 2000. The production capacity of water bottling plant is 195,000.- bottles/day.
