- About Us : George Steuarts Teas (Pvt) Ltd wish to introduce ourselves as George Steuarts (Teas & Marketing) (Pvt) Ltd a subsidiary of George Steuarts & Co Ltd which is probably the oldest Company in the South East Asia established in 1835 (approx.175 years). We have been involved with the Tea Industry for well over a century infact from the very inception. We are the oldest member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. We are also members of the Colombo Tea Traders Association and Tea Exporters Association. Our bankers are Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, Hatton National Bank Ltd and National Development Bank. We export Black tea, Green tea, Flavoured tea and Herbal tea in Bulk, Packets, Tea bags, Metal caddies and Wooden boxes. We export tea to many parts of the world, our main markets being the CIS countries, Middle Eastern countries, Philippines, Taiwan, U.S.A, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and China. Our annual Turnover is in the region of US$ 60 Mn. In addition to exporting of tea under our own brand Steuarts we also pack on behalf of other private label brands and most of which end up in established Super Markets in their respective countries Our strength has always been, what we deliver is what we promise and accordingly, you could be assured of an excellent service.
