The owner of the shop was Mr. Nakamiya Keido, who was a leading authority in sword circles. In 1990 Mr. Iwamoto Iwamoto Art Swordnt independent and established his own shop. In 1991, Mr. Iwamoto took over as head of the Namihana Kodogu Kenkyu-kai (Sword Fittings Research Society) .
