- About Us : LN is a UK-incorporated private limited company formed in 1998.The Company is 30% owned by RMB ResLN METALS INTERNATIONAL LTDces, the resource financing arm of Rand Merchant Bank a member of the First Rand Group of Companies. The remaining equity is held by directors and senior management. The trading, logistic, financial and administrative control of the Company and its subsidiaries and branch offices is based at its head office is in London. In addition LN has two wholly owned subsidiary companies, Gryphon Futures Ltd in the UK, and LN Metalli Italia Srl in Italy, as well as shareholdings and investments in production assets. LN also maintains representative offices near Katowice, Poland, Prague, Czech Republic and in Belgrade, Serbia-Montenegro. These are staffed by LN s own personnel, and are not agencies or third-party operations. Currently, LN directly employs 23 people in its UK headquarters and outlying offices. LN Metals International Ltd is the holding company for the Group s various investments, and is also the primary trading vehicle, acting as the principal to the majority of trading transactions entered into by the LN Group.LN Metalli Italia Srl is based in Bergamo, Italy, and is gives the Group a strong presence in this important non-ferrous consumer and producer market. Key areas of expertise are Zinc, Zinc alloys, Aluminium and its Alloys, and Copper. In addition he Company is active in the field of scrap. GRYPHON FUTURES LTD Gryphon is a wholly owned subsidiary of LN Metals International Ltd. The company provides hedging and price risk management services, together with a wide range of related consultancy services, to a variety of clients, including some of the largest names in the non-ferrous industry. Registered with the Securities and Futures Authority in London, Gryphon transacts London Metal Exchange business for its clients through LME ring-dealer Societe Generale, for whom Gryphon is an authorized representative. OTHER PROJECTS LN has a very close involvement with a number of metal producers, taking a significant proportion of the metal output under a long term off-take contracts. In addition to the above, LN is also involved in on-going negotiations in a small number of other projects, with regard to co-operation and possible investment, where those involvements would lead to a commercial relationship in either product off-take or marketing. FIELDS OF ACTIVITY LNs main business is in primary metal, being an active international trader of zinc, lead, copper, aluminium and nickel. The Company is also becoming increasingly involved in the trade of base metal concentrates (zinc, lead and copper) and handles regularly part-refined or part-processed products such as lead bullion, blister copper and lead-antimony pre-alloys and aluminum alloy. Further downstream, LN trades added-value products such as copper wire rod for the cable industry, lead alloys for the battery industry, specification brass alloy for casting and primary and secondary aluminum alloys for the automobile industry. LN is also handles various types of production residues and by-products such as anode slimes, filter cakes, drosses and filter dusts, and most major commercial grades of non-ferrous scrap for secondary smelters and foundries. GEOGRAPHICAL COVERAGE LNs business covers most areas of the world in particular Europe, CIS countries, Middle East, Africa, South America and Far East. As is demonstrated by the establishment of its representative offices, LN is committed to increased business development in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in Central Asia, and is an important participant in the non-ferrous trade in this area, particularly in lead and zinc. Outside the European zone, LN has regular and established business with producers and consumers throughout the world. The groups concentrate and raw material has significantly grown in the last two years, namely in Zinc, lead and copper concentrates.
