Lotus holds shares in two of the local leading tanneries. With a daily capacity of over 8,000 skins tanned primarily for double faced leather, total annual turnover reaches over 20 million USD. Our double faced leather are mainly purchased by Lotus' own factory, local shoe and garments factories and worldwide manufacturers. Our skins are also being tanned for paint rollers, rugs, futons, car seat covers, shoe lining, cushion, and wash mitt skins. A great deal of the raw material is imported from Australia. However, for higher quality garment leathers, Lotus imports skins from Spain, France and the UK. Other raw materials include: Chinese domestic Goat skins, Rex Rabbit skins, Fox skins, Kid skins, and many more. Our tannery uses high technology-based dying techniques and chemicals imported from Spain, Germany, and the USA.
