- About Us : The Moron Company is a Texas Corporation dedicated to the mining and sale of a very fine pure silica sand. It has a proven track record of providing consistent batches of unbeneficiated raw sand. In essence, the sand is a very fine type that comes from a Mark R. Yeager & Associatesll sorted vein. The sand is an anomaly and exceptionally difficult to find. However, because of the geology and geography of the location, we have a large amount of reserves. Although densely packed, it is unconsolidated and easily mnined in this location. Thus, we can sell it at a very competitive price. The quality of the sand varies both vertic ally in the vein and horizontaly along the length of the find. The variance involves greater and lesser amounts of iron but, at no place does FeO2 exceed 0.5. Typically, TeO2 ranges fromless than 0.1 to rarely exceeding 0.25. Iron is in the form of predominatly hematite and magnetite and therefvore quite magnetic. There is a small of limonite that is easily floated. Simple washing results in iron contents on 0.06 to 0.07. Alumina vgaries from a high of 8% to less than 1%. It too is removed with a simple washing. The remaining heavy metals are primarily Nickle and Titanium at levels less than 0.1%. Rail heads are less than one hour's trucking distance from the mine. The company has offices in Waco and Houston TX.
