Sakip muftuoglu, the founder of the company developed a recipe for a very special soap with the main ingredients being a combination of pure olive and sweet bay leaf oil extracted from the local trees of the southern mediterannian coast of Turkey. Today his great-granson still uses the same recipe and traditional organic process to produce "daphne" soap. This picture shows the first soap made in 1910 in a special hand-made mold, as being the remembrance of the first manufacturing day.
