Nibf has six years of experience in the production and marketing of nepali honey under own brand "nirmal honey" in domestic market. Nibf is producing about 6 tonnes of honey from its 80 apis mellifera colonies. As a resource centre, nibf also helps nepali beekeepers in various ways. We also buy honey from individual beekeeper, beekeeping cooperatives, and farmer groups of different parts of the country. Nibf's' annual sale of honey in the domestic market has gone upto 13, 000 US $. . Nibf is one of the members of Nepal beekeepers' association. Nibf conducts small-scale research on beekeeing in Nepal, and a number of research articles has been published in one of leading british beekeeping journals, the beekeepers querterly (bkq) (articles publised in no. 77, 80, 82, 83, 84, 86) . This time, nibf is trying to put nepali natural honey in the international market.
