- About Us : Omnium was established in 1993 by John Sices, who remains the principle owner. At that time, Sices had been working with Praxis Technologies for several years developing, manufacturing and marketing a line of specialty, anti-corrosion coating products for industrial applications. There came a point in the relationship with Praxis to separate responsibilities so that each partner could focus on specific responsibilities. Praxis focused on marketing and selling the finished coatings, while Omnium focused on sOmnium International, Inc.cing raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, inventory and distribution of the coatings products. This divergence allowed Omnium to pursue unrelated opportunities, as well as providing Praxis marketing oportunities from other sources without conflict. Subsequently, Omnium began pursuing opportunities involving developing other coatings as well as the independent distribution of products and other related chemicals. One of the early successes was the development and production of a marine ballast tank coating. By utilizing a development lab and toll manufacturer, we successfully developed a finished coating that was successfully marketed for many years to ship owners worldwide. The product, the manufacturing facility, the production process and the quality control procedures were inspected and certified by a world renowned agency. Sices background includes working in a variety of technical service, sales and management positions with well known fortune 500 companies (Witco Chemical and Drew Division-Ashland Chemical), and smaller privately held companies (King Industries, Stoney Creek Technologies) . From mid-2004 through 2011, Omnium was the North American representative Paris-based specialty chemical manufacturer, PCAS selling all products from their industrial specialties chemicals group in North America, as well as developing their business in China, Japan and Korea. Omnium continues to pursue sales of the PCAS products worldwide, as well as a stocking distributor of their products for key account in North America. Additionally, Omnium is the authorized North American Distributor for OKS, and Avia / Hermann Bantleon. These two well respected German lubricant makers are known for their high performance products and many of the worlds leading equipment and machinery manufacturers rely on their products for some of the most demanding lubricant applications.Omnium's forte is establishing contacts, sales and marketing channels, distribution capabilities, as well as working with unique suppliers worldwide for a wide variety of specialty chemical needs.
