It is fifty million years old, and the beads were carved well over two hundred years ago, The Naga shell beads were traded to Tibet well over 100 years ago.... Carnelian is no longer being mined in Tibet. It is also at least 100 years old.Unfortunately, these beads are no longer being worn in their country of origin except in very remote villages, as more and more people dispense with traditional dress and decoration in favor of modern, Western attire.
