• Product Details

  The EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) power saving system is an active compensation device based on advanced power electronic devices and control technology. It is used in low-voltage side of EAF, which can adaptive to working conditions of low voltage side of EAF?to compensate negative sequence, reactive power and harmonic current of EAF in site. Advantages, Compared to present mid-voltage compensation system, are shown as following: ? Good regulation performance — The capacity can be adjusted continuously and quickly, and the response time from 0 to maximum capacity is less than 10 mS. ? Good voltage adaptability — Reactive current is not affected by power voltage — No stability problem without changing system parameters. ? Comprehensive Compensation Ability — Compensate positive sequence reactive Power, negative sequence reactive power and negative sequence reactive power at the same time. ? To compensate low voltage side at site — Reduce power loss and improve efficient of power utilization — Improve voltage in EAF low voltage side and productivity. This system was developed by our company together with Southwest Jiaotong University, through applications of traction control technology of rail transit to compensation of electric arc furnace. It is a first use of comprehensive compensation system for electric arc furnace is in China. Test results of the system in steel plants shows that it can not only significantly improve the voltage distortion, asymmetry and flicker on the grid side, but also improve utilization efficiency of electric energy of electric arc furnace and productivity also.
