Chinese wolfberry is a multi-branched shrub, 0.5-1 meters high, When cultivated up to 2 meters; branches thin, bow curved or overcast, light gray, vertical stripes, thorns long 0.5-2 cm, leaves and flowers of the thorns longer, twig tip sharp spine thorns. Leaves thickly papery or cultivated, leaflets alternate or 2-4 fasciculate, ovate, ovate-rhombic, oblong, ovate-lanceolate, apex acute, base cuneate, 1.5-5 cm long, 0.5-2.5 cm wide, larger cultivators, up to 10 cm long, up to 4 cm wide; petiole length 0.4-1 cm.
