• About Us : Rehmedis was founded by physiotherapist Artur Zemla, in response to a growing need for a small portable hoist on the market.Initially the prototype was developed for his own needs as a travelling physio, doing rehabilitation in his patients' homes, after he developed severe back injuries from significant manual handling.Patients Rehmedisre impressed that with this hoist, Artur could take it from his small car, assemble and dismantle in seconds, and use it in virtually any home - and most of his patients had very small and unadapted apartments.For many of his patients, the Atlas hoist was the only device they had, other than their wheelchair, but wealthier western European markets showed that this hoist could be used in many other environments also, including for business and personal travels, by car, plane, boat or caravan, making tight and unadapted places accessible for patients and saving them and their carers from injury and manhandling.
