BODEGAS PUENTE AJUDA winery combines centuries of old traditions and knowledge, with the very latest technology, represented by the productive winery and the "Bodega Crianza" and matured. The first is a modern building, where the dominate note is stainless steel, technology and the hygienic conditions that constitute a guarantee of quality in all different phases of wine making. The second is a stone building, integrated in the landscape and reflecting the early architecture of the area. In its interior there are currently 750 American oak barrels where our wines reach their maximum expression, thanks a rigorous maturing process followed by ageing in bottles. The vines have been planted in espalier on double Royat cordons, with a computer controlled drip irrigation and feeding system that uses information from a network of hydrometers strategically placed thoughout the vineyard. The grapes varieties grown are: Tempranillo 50% , Cabernet Sauvignon 25% , Red Garnacha 15% and Merlot 10% . The installation is situated close to Olivenza in a zone called Malpica, on the left bank of the river Guadiana, near the Portugal border. Our 100 Has. Of vineyard, together with another 60 Has. Of Mediterranean holm oak forest, constitute a harmonious landscape with exceptional natural conditions.
