Extra Clear Float Glass is a kind of high transparency low iron float glass, also called low-iron float glass, super white glass, crystal glass or ultra clear float glass. It is a kind of multi-function high grade float glass with high light transparency and transmission rate higher than 91%. Moreover, it has the feature of crystal and elegancy. It has all the processing features same as regular clear float glass including super optical, physical and mechanical performance which can be termpered, low-E, silk printed, heat bended, laminated, insulated and other kinds of fabricating process. The main applications of low iron float glass are high-grade architectures and glass processing and furnitures, decorative glass, home appliance (like panels of refrigerator, ovens and microwave ovens etc), imitated crystal products, lamps, precision electronic industry (copy machine & scanner), special buildings, BIPV industry and so on. The current projects in China used low iron float glass are Beijing Grand Theatre, Beijing Botanical Garden, Shanghai Opera House, Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Hongkong Conference and Exhibition Center, Nanjing Chinese Art Center and other projects. In addition to being widely used in the construction field, combined its excellent optical performance with photovoltaic technology, the extra clear float glass has been applied to solar energy field such as solar power station and PE glass curtain wall. Thus, ultra clear float glass will make great contribution to the development and application of new energy in the near future. Through continuous independent innovation of R&D, CSG became the first ultra clear float glass manufacturer with its own fully intellectual property rights. The features of high rate solar transmittance and the main performances have reached and exceeded that of international level.
