- About Us : SINKER-DROPPER, LLC fledgling company (SINKER-DROPPER, LLC), and have a patented device that release a sinker (weight) when a fish bites. Our company does not want to promote the disposal of lead into our waters, and are looking for alternatives to lead weights for our product. One of our ideas is to use a mesh bag made of biodegradable material (such as cotton) which could be filled with rock or pebbles or scrap iron. The size would be about 7 cm deep by 4-5cm wide at the top. It would need a (cotton) drawstring to enclose the material and to attach to our sinker release. We do not even need seams or hems. A simple pouch with a drawstring top, made of flimsy material (it will, after all, be sacrificed) is all we need. The cost must be very small to dissuade anglers from buying the lead. However, we anticipate a need in the millions, and a market that can never be saturated, so there is profit potential. I am anxious to hear from any of you that may be able to manufacture such a cheap, disposable, biodegradable little sack, pouch, bag, or whatever we shall call it!
