An important component of our mission to achieve our corporate vision is to produce the tastiest biscuits in Sri Lanka. We are proud to have achieved this milestone. Whilst EWM drives the distribution and marketing programmes Sunrich focuses on operations and production. Apart from the categories that are available in the market we pioneered the manufacture of a range unique to us. Power Crunch an energy biscuit, Milkies a milk cream biscuit, Coconut Gem and Onion Bites are some of them. The production team is led by our Director M. Sridharan, who hails from a family who has been in the biscuits industry for decades. He is a graduate in Product Management specialising in Food. Additionally, he holds Diplomas in Bakery Technology and Biscuit Technology all from top universities in the United Kingdom. The brand Ambassador of Sunrich is none other than Muttiah Muralidharan the spin wizard of Sri Lanka who has achieved which many in the sport of cricket have not. His endorsement is our mission Sunrich, very tasty biscuits. MANUFACTURING FACILITYWe have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility consisting of one comprehensive manufacturing line with adequate room for further expansion. The factory was set-up under the 200 factories programme initiated by the Government and located in the picturesque environs of the Export Promotion Zone of the Board of Investment in Horana. Production commenced in March 2007 and distribution was carried out by East West Marketing (Private) Limited. PRIVATE LABELSWe could also produce our present range or those of our customers on recipes provided to us on their own labels, thus we undertake the manufacture of private labels to both foreign and local customers. MARKET LOGISTICS One of key strengths of the company, is its associate company East West Marketing (Private) Limited. The entire distribution process to the local market is handled by them. EWM has their own Stockists extensively around the country to ensure width and depth of distribution. A team of competent sales personnel ensure the availability of the companys goods in the trade channels. One of EWMs major strengths is the infrastructure facility, comprising of a fully computerised state-of-the-art office complex most centrally located at Kotahena, and a large central warehousing complex located in Wattala. Goods from local business partners are received and stored in this warehousing complex. Sales and invoicing is centralised at the office complex but is interlinked through a VPN solution to the warehousing complex, to avoid any possible delays. They are then moved with its own fleet of Lorries to Stockists in various parts of the island.
