- About Us : The Tawab group of companies was established in 1935, when the founder, late Mr. S. Abdul Tawab started the commercial import of an assorted products range. By 1960, the company had started to define a clear focus by concentrating on the steel and paper business. Today, the company enjoys a strong foothold in these businesses all across Pakistan. Under the innovative and experienced leadership of the businessmen, the group expanded from trade into industry in the late 80�s. This was done by the commissioning of first galvanizing steel sheet unit at the Karachi Export Processing Zone. The production capacity of this plant is 50, 000 MT per year. In 1995, the group established a paper-manufacturing unit in Lahore with an annual capacity of 70, 000 MT per year. The unit currently produces Box Board, liner and Fluting paper, and caters to a wide range of industries all across Pakistan. In 2003, the Tawab group reached another major milestone � the entry into the public sector. �First National Equities Limited� a public limited company was incorporated with the authorized capital of Rs. 500 million. The company is a Corporate Member of the Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) limited and is registered as a Brokerage House with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under the Brokers and Agents Registration Rules, 2001.
