• About Us : The history of Toho Metal Industries Co., Ltd goes back to 1950 when we began producing the small condiment cans that soon became essential items on the dinning tables of families all over Japan. Over the next 50 years, we moved from condiment to pharmacential containers, other casings (metal jackets) for dry cell batteries, small gas cylinders, and aerosol products. In 1970, we began production of portable gas cookers. Our brand,"Home Guts" is the first portable gas cooker to be approved Japan Gas Appliance Inspection Association. In 1971, we successfully developed automatic production machinery for dry battery metal jackets and related components. First export order shipped to Indonesia manufacturer. Since then we have exported a total of 264 production lines shipped to 30 different countries. In 1988, we built Tsukuba Factory. We began production and sales of fuel cylinders for portable gas cookers and general aerosol products. In 1998, we developed and began sales of world's fastest AA(UM-3)size battery metal jacket body maker which is able to produce 800 battery metal jackets a minute. In year 2000, we celebrated 50th anniversary and obtained I.S.O. 9001 international quality standards certification.
