• About Us : The Trujal "Hacienda Ortigosa" in Viana, Navarra (Spain), was founded in 2005. Each year, it produces a total of 180.000 litres of single variety oil, made from the Arbequina olive, which is cold extracted using mechanical procedures. "Hacienda Ortigosa" currently includes its own olive grove with over 300.000 olive trees. Trujal Hacienda Ortigosa offer our Extra Virgin Olive Oil in different formats: - 250ml. dark glass bottle - 500ml. dark glass bottle - 750ml. clear glass bottle - 1l. transparent bottle - 2l. transparent bottle - 5l. transparent bottle The "Hacienda Ortigosa" extra virgin olive oil is a natural fruit juice, with all the properties and characteristics of the Arbequina olive. A fresh, fruity olive, which is green when picked early in the season, and yellow-green later on. It is a solid fruit, with "body", and a clean, grassy, herbal aroma. As the olive matures, the oil acquires a stronger yellow colouring, and a softer, sweeter flavour. Our "Hacienda Ortigosa" Extra Virgir Olive Oil received Golden Medall at the "Paris Gourmet Fair" in 2008 and 2009.
