• About Us : W-Bedoya Import began in 1991, importing and distributing beer from Ecuador. Within a few years, W-Bedoya Import Corp. expanded to soda and champagne. The last few years have been transitional as we move away from the food / beverage industry and concentrate on other projects. We have come to focus on the natural resources of Ecuador in order to promote environmentally friendly living. Recently we have become the authorized agent of a button manufacturing company in Ecuador. They specialize in the production of buttons (for clothing) made from Tagua, also known as vegetable ivory. Around the turn of the 20th century this environmentally friendly nut of a palm was used to manufacture about 20% of the buttons in the United States. Because of this relationship we also became the agent for BedExport. They sell pieces for fasion jewelry from Corozo (tagua) and coconut. They also began creating designs and selling some finished products. As far as the fashion jewelry is concerned they also sell pieces made from shell and fish scale.
