- About Us : COMPANY PROFILE Established as a construction company in 1981, Gorhan has started its business with residential building constructions in Istanbul / Turkey. Keeping up the construction business, in 1987 furniture production department has been established especially for the Gorhan residential building construction projects' needs. Since that date furniture manufacturing has been the main activitiy area of Gorhan. Gorhan finalized many prestigious projects in Turkey, while also completing many international projects in different countries. Some of these countries are Russia, Kazakhstan, Check Republic, Spain, and England, during the execution of these projects Gorhan also formed good cooperation with the international architecture companies. Technical staff consists of architects, woodworking industrial engineers, industrial engineers, mechanical engineers, forestry industrial engineers, internal designers, chemists, civil engineers; most of all are integrating completeness for wood processing. Gorhan keeps up production in Gebze Dilovasi industrial area in its 6500 m2 production facility located in the 21000 m2 open area. Gorhan Furniture Co. facility contains all the necessary computerized European based wood working machinery systems besides the traditional machinery systems which are also necessary for such a production facility. The machinery and the staff structure of Gorhan allows to produce many kinds of furnitures such as doors, kitchens, bathroom vanity units, cupboards, stair treads, window frames etc. By the lately investment program the rate of the human factor has been decreased and the rate of the mechanisation has been increased. Briefly the latest investments are as follows: a) Furniture manufacturing: A fully automated 50 mt panel processing line has been set up which consists of a double sided squaring and edge-banding machine, a multiple boring CNC, together with a multiple boring-dowel inserting machine, and the automated loading-unloading-panel turning systems. Now there are 4 CNC point to point machines with the recent addition of two new CNC. Profile wrapping, profile sanding and an additional hydraulic press have been the other recent investments. b) Painting: In a short period of time positive pressured water curtain spray booth, 2 units of UV roller coater line, and computerized automatic paint spray investment has been executed. Especially with the UV roller coaters, filler application and final finish application quality and performance increased significantly, and also the total capacity of the paint shop increased by 150% . With the R& D studies in the UV application field, Gorhan gained great experience and knowledge in UV roller application. The finished products are in excellent quality level.
