INTRODUCTION The One Step LH Ovulation Urine Test is fast and easy to use. It is a qualitative test that can predict when there is a LH (luteinizing hormone) surge, and in turn, when you are likely to ovulate. TEST DATE First, you must determine the length of your menstrual cycle. This is the number of days from the first day of your menstrual bleeding to the day before your next bleeding begins. Please refer to the chart to determine when you should start testing. If you cycle is shorter than 21 days or longer than 38 days, consult your doctor. If you do not know your cycle length, you may begin the test 11 days after your first period since the average cycle length is 28 days. Perform 1 test each day over a 5 day period, or until the LH surge has been detected. ASSAY PROCEDURE 1. Specimen collection, Collect your urine sample during 10:am and 8:00pm, and collect urine at the same time each day, but do not use your first morning urine samples as LH is synthesized in your body early in the morning, which will not show up in your urine until later in the day. 2. Allow the sealed LH test pounch, urine sample, and control solution to reach room temperature. 3. Open the sealed pouch by tearing along the note, remove the LH cassette test device from the sealed pouch. 4.Draw 0.15ml (about 3 drops) urine sample into the pipette, and dispense it into the sample well on the cassette. 5.Wait for colored bands to appear. Dependign on the concentration of LH in the specimen, positive results may be oserved in as short as 40 seconds. But to confirm negative results, the complete reaction time (10 minuntes) is required. Do not read result after 15 minutes. RESULTES No LH Surge: Only one color band appears on the control C line or the T line is lighter than the C line. There is no LH surge. LH Surge: If two color bands are visable and the T band is equal to or darker than the C band
